Broken Dream

Image
Why should i weep !!! Nothing in this world it seems Shatters like a broken dream, It is the ache before the mean Of shadows silent and unseen And in this fortress dream of sorrow, Exist no dawn and no tomorrow. Just hours that cut you as they pass Like little shards of broken glass And yet another then another, Maybe my nights are meant to suffer But look up now and see how far They’ve lit my way like little stars You see, I’ve been given a star to shine For every broken dream of mine, So in time my nights will turn to day And all my troubles can melt away.

Mango cultivation in Amroha - how to increase its productivity

Image
Amroha is the land of mangoes and carps… it looks mysterious because we couldn’t understand the relation between mangoes and carps at first instance. Although Amroha is an ancient place and has rich history but its cultural revolution taken place in medieval times when Hazrat Syed Sharfuddin Shahwilayat (ra) reached Amroha. He came from Middle East (Iraq) and instructed (as per folks) that you should go to the place and reside there where you will find mangoes and carps (rohu fish). No doubt that he came across many towns and cities before reaching Amroha which surely have carps and mangoes because in north India you can find mango and rohu fish at almost every place from Lahore to Punjab to Amroha. Aam and rohu is very common to most of the towns if not all. So why he choose only Amroha to live?. Surely there might be some other reasons against this common belief to reside in Amroha but this is still a mystery and we will speculate it in future inshallah . Whatever is the reas

Islamic Banking - Only solution to global economic crisis

Image
Protestant Liechtenstein recently held a conference on making banking shariah compatible , to attract capital from Muslim countries. And no doubt also because the big survivors of the 2008 crisis were China and Muslim countries ; China because the focus is not only growth but lifting the bottom up–increasing domestic demand and less dependence on trade in 1991-2004–Muslim countries because of Islamic banking. A common Western misunderstanding is that Islam forbids interest ; what is forbidden are relations that are only monetary ; they should be economic, social,  more human , in a broad sense .  Just to make money available against interest is out. Purely financial deals selling and buying financial objects–derivatives at any level–for commissions are also out. Banks and other companies have to be in it together. Islamic banking is pro-poor and discourage capitalism and economic instability. It also prohibits to remain wealth in few hands There is more to it. A b

Prophet Ibrahim (as) and the helping bird… every contribution matters in the eyes of Allah....

Over 5000 years back when Hz. Ibrahim (as) was sent to the people of CANAAN corresponds to the Levant, i.e. modern-day Lebanon, Palestine, Israel, the western part of Jordan and southwestern Syria. Hz. Ibrahim (as) fulfilled all the commandments and trials which God tried him with over his lifetime. As a result of his unwavering faith in God, Hz. Ibrahim (as)  was promised by God to be a leader to all the nations of the world. Hz. Ibrahim (as) embodies the type of the perfect Muslim and the Quran mentions Hz. Ibrahim (as) as a model for mankind. Hz. Ibrahim (as), was instrumental in cleansing the world of idolatry at the time. Paganism was cleared out by Hz. Ibrahim (as) in both Arabia and Canaan. He spiritually purified both places as well as physically sanctifying the houses of worship. In his times there was an arrogant and unrighteous ruler named namrood who called himself as God and compel people to worship him. When he heard of Hz. Ibrahim (as) he became angry and issue a

What does it mean by - being educated....

Image
Education is popularly supposed to mean getting a degree and qualifying oneself for a white-collar job. The longer the catalogue of degrees after the name of a man, the more educated he is believed to be. This is a narrow and wrong conception of education. True education consists not merely in attending schools and colleges and passing examinations, but in the complete development of one's personality, intellectual, moral, and physical. Education in this sense is a life-long process, and cannot be said to be completed at any stage of life. An educated person is well-informed. While he should have thorough and precise knowledge of the subject in which he has specialized, he should be aware of the broad developments in other subjects. It is not suggested that he is a walking dictionary or encyclopedia, for as important as the possession of information or knowledge of facts is the ability to interpret them and make use of them. He has the habit of reading newspapers, periodica
